Following a hugely successful Exhibition in the Digital Village at the TFWA Cannes 2017, APA Preferred Partner Ethos Farm is delighted to be working in collaboration with APA Member Macis Promotions to roll out one of their technology innovations, BrApp, to the Macis workforce in Sweden. BrApp is an application that supports daily focuses for brand ambassadors and promotional staff by creating start of shift checklists and briefings as well as allowing the staff members the capability to record and report product sales, service impactors or recognition of great performance. The application went live with the Macis team in the middle of October and is currently being used for work with luxury brands such as Gucci, Chloe & Tiffany.

young promotion has implemented this brand new Personal Shopper service at Barcelona airport as part as its collaboration with the Spanish airport operator AENA. A team of personal shoppers speaking Mandarin, Russian and Arabic - among other key languages are guiding the passengers through the airport shopping mall. The Personal Shoppers are creating a unique, personalized and luxurious shopping experience for each customer as well as give assistance with tax refund processes. Airport visitors have the chance to book their Personal Shopper for their shopping tour in advance by e-mail or phone or let the experience happen spontaneously directly at the stands placed both in Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. The goal is to provide passengers with an excellent customer service and effectively communicate the advantages of shopping in Travel Retail.
Spirit Hosting & Promotions provided exciting “Infotainers” for Schiphol Amsterdam Airport, during the busy days this Summer. Our enthusiastic Infotainers are present in the departure hall to welcome all the departing passengers. Furthermore they are informing and helping the passengers where necessary. The Infotainers distribute gifts, so the waiting times do not seem that long for the children. This has been fantastic in terms of engagement from passengers.

Destination targeting is a topic alive as never before in travel-retail at Swedish airports. It’s about spotlighting strategic or highest-spending nationalities and then directly targeting them at airports around certain flights.
For the first time in the commercial airline history there is a direct flight from Stockholm to New Delhi. This great achievement from Swedavia, Stockholm Arlanda airport operator, means a great potential for the airport and for travel retail in Sweden.
In the context of the first direct flight between Stockholm and New Delhi, Macis Promotions collaborated with Dufry to create an event around the Indian theme.
The store was decorated around the Indian theme and passengers could benefit of special offers on products among the most popular for Indian travelers. Chivas Regal and Ferrero Rocher, brands that are extremely popular in India, were on focus during the campaign. Macis Promotions Indian staff elegantly dressed with a sari, a typical indian female outfit, welcomed all passengers and offered Ferrero Rocher chocolates, which was a great success.
At the end of 2016, our Belgian member PROMOPLAN proudly announced the launch of their Promoplan-APP. Now, 8 months later, they are looking back at a challenging yet innovative journey.
Their goal is to have the APP up and running for ALL the field crew members by October 2017. Not only the beauty consultants and sales promotors on the local market have to install and use the APP correctly on their smartphone but also all the Brand Ambassadors at Brussels Airport and Brussels South Charleroi Airport have to say goodbye to paper.This APP enables the crew to consult their agenda with all upcoming missions, the person of contact at the office as well as a briefing related to the job. On the day of the mission, the crew kicks off the mission with one simple click. At the end of the day all required data is transferred. Sending back paper sales reports, evaluation forms and expense notes to the office is now history, which used to be very time-consuming for the crew.
After consulting with each client, Promoplan can tailor checklists and sales reports for each mission. Consequently, the client has online access to relevant information and pictures of his promotional wave and this in the following week. The Promoplan APP also facilitates easy feedback from the retailer. At the end of the working day, the shop manager on site has to fill in a simple smiley-based evaluation form. Once the form is completed, the Brand Ambassador cannot consult the information. Thus leaving the manager the freedom to give honest feedback on the crew member.Today, 93 % of all data is sent correctly through the application. This means Promoplan is very close to their set target. This is only the start of the journey as new digital innovations are in the pipeline to optimize communication with both crew and clients!
What an experience!! At the Capi store at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, we created a temporary barber shop together with Capi to promote the Philips One Blade; a new tool to trim and shave any length of hair. We created a luxurious setting that offered gentlemen a barbershop experience in the lounge before taking off to their destination. Our specially trained promotor invited passengers to sit down and advised them about the details of the product.
